Christmas is on its way, and before we know it we’ll be decorating our homes for the festive season, ready to welcome in family and friends to celebrate together.
As an independent business with family at the core, we take any excuse to dress the house (and ourselves) for a special occasion.
Pink and red has been a very popular Christmas colour combination in recent years, so we thought we’d share some of our favourite pink and red Christmas decor from fellow independent brands and makers.
Candles & candleholders for cosy Christmas decor
You can’t not have beautiful candles at Christmas, whether they’re adorning your festive tablescape, your mantelpiece, or glowing in a lantern on your side table.
A combination of different sizes and styles of candleholders and candles works well, and for some reason they look best in odd numbers too.
Interiors & lifestyle shop Split Figs in Surrey has some beautiful glass candleholders – their Glass Candleholder in Old Rose (£15) would look gorgeous with their taller Red Glass Candle Holder (£8).
And to make it up to an odd number, the pink and red Rose Fiesta Candlestick from The Jacksons (£30) is handpainted and so cute, plus it comes in 3 different sizes (and other colourways if pink and red isn’t your thing).
Of course, you’ll need some candles too, and Mon Pote in Bristol has some really pretty pink and red candles. We love the Red & Pink Striped Thin Taper Candle and the Red with Pink Hearts Pencil Candle, both £1.95 each.
Our UASHMAMA Toge Toge Lampshade in Palio (red) or Quarzo (pale pink, both £18) create a lovely soft glow with a tealight inside, if you’re after something a little more subtle.

Nostalgic Christmas garlands & paper chains
Pink & Red Paper Chain Kit from East End Press
Garlands and paper chains have such a vintage feel, and they can really make your home feel extra jolly at Christmas.
We love the Pink & Red Paper Chain Kit from East End Press (£16) which is made from recycled, patterned pink and red paper strips. This paper chain has such a nostalgic vibe, and since it’s a kit, you can set yourself up for a cosy crafting afternoon with a cup of hot chocolate and some festive snacks.
The Moo & May Studio Paper Chain Kit in Berry & Blush (£6.99) is technically for Valentine’s or Galentine’s Day, but as there are no hearts on this kit, it could be used for any occasion, including Christmas.
And if making your own paper chains doesn’t appeal, you might like this ready-made and super cute Pink Felt Christmas Tree Garland by Brady & Blue (from £14).

Radicchio Leaf Christmas Decorations from Minnie-Mae Studio
We’ve really fallen for these Radicchio Leaf Christmas Decorations (£28 each, or £52 for a pair) handmade by Minnie-Mae Studio in Ramsgate, Kent – they’re so special and speak to our Italian roots!
Radicchio is very popular in Italy – it’s a staple of Italian agriculture, and you can find it in so many Italian dishes, especially during the winter months.
These Handmade Beaded Felt Letters £8.50 from Savana Lawler Textiles are really lovely too – if you’re going for a red and pink Christmas theme, you can either choose red felt with pink beads, or pink felt with red beads (or a plethora of other colours).
They’re so affordable for such a gorgeous handmade item, you could easily get a letter for every member of the family and hang them all on your Christmas tree.

Quilted Bow in Pink Stripe from The Primitive Home
