UASHMAMA® RENEWS ITS COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT
In 1970 a movement was born to celebrate the earth, the planet that gave us life and calls for our deepest respect. And here we are on its fifty-second anniversary. We have arrived at a time when the environmental crisis is no longer an abstract topic. We are obliged to think about our environment and how to live without damaging it in any way.
Today more than ever, we must adopt a sustainable lifestyle. We must set a good example for our children so that they too can have decent lives such as we and our grandparents have lived–whether in Tuscany, the land that always inspires Uashmama, or anywhere else in the world.
How do we address all this? It seems impossible if we think that we are powerless to really change things. And yet we know one plus one equals two. That is to say, power comes from working collectively, working together.
So let’s join others who think as we do, who support our values, and take action!
WE ARE CONSTANTLY LOOKING INTO WAYS TO MAKE EVEN MORE SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS..
We are constantly looking into ways to make even more sustainable products and to improve the composition and integrity of our materials in order to reduce our impact on the environment.
This research has taken us to today as we are creating our COTO placemats. They’re made from the part of the cotton plant that’s under the white cotton ball. It’s transformed into a sturdy fiber, which is the base of our COTO material.
Next we add a protective layer on both sides that prevents stains and scratches and is simply washable with a sponge and gentle soap, or why not, with our all-natural degreaser.
The placemats are functional items that we use daily. They come in shapes suited to our needs and are sustainable and respectful of the environment. They’re also versatile, usable on each side, depending on how the day inspires you.
