As a business with family values at the core, we’ll take any excuse to gather with loved ones, and Easter is the perfect opportunity to do just that.
Decorating is a much-loved part of our Easter celebrations - welcoming spring in and adding a little more colour to our homes feels so lovely after a long, cold winter.
Here are a few of our favourite easy and sustainable Easter decoration ideas for 2026.
1. Make (or buy) an abundant Easter wreath
Wreaths aren’t just for Christmas! Easter wreaths are becoming more and more popular, as they’re a lovely seasonal way to decorate your front door, or to hang inside.
To make your own Easter wreath, gather a few supple branches (willow works brilliantly for this) to create the base, and then weave in lots of foliage and some colourful flowers.
When buying an Easter wreath, go for one made of natural materials where possible. Many florists make beautiful Easter wreaths with locally-grown, in-season flowers, so make sure to check out your local florist.
2. Decorate eggs with colourful non-toxic paints and dyes
This is a quintessential Easter craft, and you can decorate the eggs with whatever colours and patterns you like.
Start by buying some local eggs from happy, free-range hens. Some people prefer to hard-boil eggs before decorating, but this often results in the delicious yolk and whites being wasted, so blowing the eggs before painting means less food waste.
You can either pierce a hole in the eggshell at either end and gently blow through to remove the insides, or use an egg blower, which are readily available online. Keep the whites and yolks in an airtight container, as they will come in handy for our next decor idea.
Now it’s time for the really fun bit - you’re ready to paint or dye your Easter eggs. Make sure to use non-toxic paints and dyes that are not latex or plastic based, so that the shells can go into the compost bin when Easter is over.
You can even make your own natural dyes from things like nettle leaves, dandelions, or beetroot. BBC Good Food has this handy article about making vegetable dyes.

3. Edible Easter decorations and beautiful bakes
This is why we suggested keeping hold of the yolks and whites from the eggs you decorated - you can use them to make edible Easter decorations.
Whether it’s biscuits in the shape of bunnies, decorated with colourful icing, a delectable cake with a chocolate nest filled with colourful chocolate eggs on top, or the Italian equivalent of hot cross buns - pan di ramerino - sweet treats are a must for any Easter celebration.
Not only are they delicious, but they also make a lovely addition to your Easter decor - the colourful icing and the abundance of food feels synonymous with springtime.
4. Buy eco-friendly Easter decorations
If blowing and decorating eggs isn’t for you, there are lots of beautiful Easter decorations made from eco-friendly materials available to buy, and they will last you for many years of Easter celebrations.
These Grapat Wooden Easter Decorations from Babipur (£9.95 for 3) are really beautiful. They’re handmade and painted with safe, water-based dyes, and would look great hanging on a branch.
Or perhaps you’d prefer these cute Handmade Felt Hanging Rabbit Decorations from Good and Fair (£5.75 each), made by a World Fair Trade Organisation approved supplier, ensuring profit-making does not come before the wellbeing of people and the planet.
5. Make adorable origami rabbits
Another fun and sustainable Easter craft - these sweet little bunnies are made entirely from paper, so they can be recycled after use, and you could use different colours and sizes of paper too for a really fun spring display.
There are lots of origami rabbit tutorials online - this one from Baker Ross is great because it has step-by-step instructions with photos, as well as a video.
The Easy Origami Rabbit Face by Origami Guide is brilliant too, and looks just like Miffy. This one would be great for making an Easter garland - simply make 6 or more, string them together, and hang them up.

6. Decorate your dining table for your Easter feast
Finally, create a beautifully abundant tablescape for your Easter lunch. You could use some of the Easter decorations mentioned above, alongside some beautiful place settings.
Add one of our Uashmama Wine Bags in a spring colour like pink or green (with a delicious bottle of wine inside, of course), plus our signature Paper Bag filled with fresh bread or Easter eggs, or even a plant or flowers, and you’re all set.
