What is Vacchetta Paper?

The new A/W23 season is here and with it brings a new long lasting and innovative material, the Vacchetta! Want to learn more?

Who better than our founder, Mr Marconi, to describe this new material? Below he gives us an insight into the creation of this stunning new material.

NEW SEASON, NEW MATERIAL?

"For the New F/W Season ‘23, we created and made some items in Vacchetta paper with a new type of finishing. Today we introduce to you our Giulia Xsmall, one of our best-selling items."

"VACCHETTA", WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

“It is a traditional process of vegetable-tanned leather applied to paper. The processing of our material involves the use of water in a continuous cycle to avoid waste."

WHAT DOES THIS PROCESS ACTUALLY CONSIST OF?

"It consists of colouring the paper by hand with a sponge, enhancing its naturalness. The paper is coloured using vegetable colours and wax in the absence of water. One thing is certain, we can say that we have elevated our material even further."

A sponge treatment is applied to a tan piece of Vacchetta paper

THE HERO OF THE SEASON

Our newest star is our Giulia Hobo Xsmall!

As an addition to our best-selling Giulia Xsmall, we have designed our brand new Hobo Moon, an organic cotton bag with an essential and clean look.

Simply put it inside the Giulia Xsmall thanks to the practical hook system with carabiners or carry the Hobo Moon by itself. The Hobo Moon features a zip closure.
